PROJECT
3R4CACE GBV
Response-Recover-Resilience for Conflict-Affected
Communities in Ethiopia (Component 2: Gender-based violence)
Budget
USD 15 million
Duration
14 Sep 2022–14 Sep 2024
By expanding and strengthening Gender-Based Violence (GBV) service delivery, the project will prevent and mitigate GBV risk, and create a supportive environment for behavioral change. In close partnership with the Ministry of Finance of Ethiopia, UNOPS and UNFPA under this project will support the coordination, policy development, and research activities for GBV prevention and response.
This project will:
-
Respond to the multiple needs of GBV survivors to enable short- and medium-term recovery from violence.
-
Address the causes and risk factors that contribute to acceptance and perpetration of GBV, and that conflict, climate events, or other related shocks may exacerbate.
-
Strengthen the capacity of vulnerable people to cope with future shocks and stresses that may contribute to GBV incidence, including, among others, those related to conflict and to the impacts of climate variability and change.
